The Measurement Page

This page allows you to make changes to the measurements you are making in rAware. It is accessed either from the device page, or by clicking on the 'eye' icon in any of the other pages in rAware, including the main page and node page.

Properties

Firstly you have your properties, which are the key components of what makes up your measurement.

  • Name - Used to uniquely identify your measurement.
  • Enabled - Set to 'Yes' to actively monitor and record the measurement. 'No' to ignore it.
  • Units - The units to add to the end of the measurement. Include a space before the symbol if required.
  • Recording - Set this to 'None' to disable recording, or set a recording interval.

Formatting

The formatting settings allow you to adjust how your data is converted from its original format in the data source to something more human-readable.

In this example, the device outputs a 4-20mA signal as a value between 0-65535. We take that and re-scale it to a 0-100% reading.

See Formatting and Scaling for information on how to adjust this yourself.

Alerts

This shows a list of the alerts that are attached to this measurement.

You can add alerts with the 'Add New Alert' button, delete one with the trashcan icon and edit existing alerts by simply clicking its name.

Records

Note: This section is only available if recording has been enabled and saved

If recording is enabled, this section allows you to view a historical chart or export your recorded data to a number of different formats.
