Making an alert group isn't particularly difficult - the hardest thing is picking a name.
Some sites will only ever need a single alert group to cover their needs, while others may have a number of seperate alert groups to communicate with different teams.
Others may have a low priority group that only sends email, with a second high-priority group that also sends SMS messages.
The alert group list page can be found from the admin page.
Simply click the 'Add New Alert Group' button to begin creating your group.
The first thing you need to do is decide which group of people you are going to create, then name it accordingly.
Now check all of the people you want to notify whenever an alert in this group occurs. If you need to add extra people to this list, you can add more users.
Finally, you can choose which notification methods you would like to use with this group.
Please note that you only have a limited number of free SMS messages per month. To avoid being charged for excess messages, please ensure only important alerts are sent as an SMS
