Customers and Locations

The first thing you will need to set up as an rAware user is your list of customers and locations.

These are used to place your data sources and measurements into easy-to-understand groups.

If you are only using rAware for your own internal monitoring and you only have the single location, your first customer should be either your own company name or a title such as 'Internal'. Your first location could be 'Office', 'Main Building' etc.

However, other companies that service a range of different customers with a number of sites may want to build up a customer and site list.

Adding Customers and Sites

You can actually add customers and locations from the main page - when you are looking at all of your measurements, the customer list contains the 'Add Customer' button. When you are looking at a given customer, the location list has the 'Add Location' button.

Alternatively, you can add both customers and locations from the admin page. Choose 'Customers' to see the customer list.

The list follows the basic layout of all other list pages - you can edit, add and delete customers here. Please note that you can never have less than one customer.

To add locations, click on the customer name - the page that opens will contain a list of all locations attached to that customer.

Note - when adding a new customer, you will need to hit 'Save Customer' before you will be allowed to create additional locations within it
