Every measurement can have one or more alert associated with it.

When new information comes in from your nodes, rAware checks it against the setpoints and alert type of the alert and decides if it has been triggered.

When an alert is triggered, the following happens….

• The alert group of the alert is checked
• If the alert needs an alert message, a report is generated
• Each person with a delay of '0' in the alert group is notified via the methods selected in the group
• If the alert returns to normal before the next set of people are due to be notified, notification stops.
• If the alert is still active when the next set of people are due to be notified, the message is sent out.

When an alert returns to its normal state…

• The alert group of the alert is checked
• If the alert needs an alert message, a report is generated
• Every person who has been notified of the alert is notified of its resolution
