Nodes

rAware Nodes gather all of the information from your various data sources and transmit the details back to the rAware website, and are a critical part of the rAware structure

Types of Node

There are actually a number of different styles of rAware node, depending on budget and environmental conditions.

Industrial Nodes are our heavy-duty design - robust and capable of withstanding high temperature ranges and a wide range of voltages. These units are very hardy, but relatively expensive compared to some of the other options available.

Indoor Nodes are for more budget-minded applications. These small, cost-effective nodes are used in clean indoor enviroments where the temperatures are not extreme (up to 45 deg C).

Virtual Nodes are deployed where there is a lot of data to be transferred. Rather than being a physical device, these actually run as virtual servers as part of your existing network infrastructure.

Service Nodes aren't installed in your site like the other styles of node. Instead, we host them ourselves and they are used to communicate with hardware that already supports some internet-connectivity, such as email. Our 'Email Gateway' node can take email messages sent from field equipment and translate it to give you access to the information from our site.
